Psychological cognitive-behavioral therapy

Psychological cognitive-behavioral therapy

Therapy focuses both on psychological disorders and on individual goals in the present life situation. Work on biographical issues might be integrated to foster understanding for current problems.  Therapy strategies are active and patients need to get involved in active exercises and behavioral experiments. In a first session we can discuss which steps might be helpful for you.

I have spezialized on the following topics:

  • Social anxiety and interactional problems
  • Depression and affective disorders
  • Stress disorders and problems concerning the working environment
  • Psychological disorders following severe trauma
  • Disorders concerning sexuality, sexual or gender identity
  • Therapy following drug or alcohol rehabilitation
  • Psychological distress following somatic illness
  • Problems arising from critical incidents or life changes
